Welcome to The Sherman House in San Francisco
 Guestrooms are individually decorated, and many offer spectacular views of the formal gardens, Carriage House, San Francisco Bay, and Golden Gate Bridge. Fabrics and color schemes are meticulously hand picked, and fine furnishings are English and French, complemented with occasional Asian accents. Several rooms feature romantic oversized cushion window couches and intimate seating alcoves, high arched windows, and hand-stenciled borders. All but one boasts a wood-burning fireplace with marble mantels. Canopy feather beds, black-granite bathrooms, and whirlpool tubs add to the already-decadent settings. Standard Room - These guestrooms offer one queen bed and accommodate a maximum of two guests.

Driving directions from San Francisco Airport: Take Highway # 101 North to San Francisco. As you approach the city, continue on # 101 North, following signs indicating "Golden Gate Bridge" ( 2 left lanes). Exit at 9th Street, and turn left onto 9th. Follow 9th St. for 5 blocks, staying in one of 2 left lanes. 9th St. will intersect with Market St. Note: you will cross Market St. and bear to the left onto Hayes St. Follow Hayes St. for 3 blocks, and then turn right on Franklin St. Continue on Franklin approximately 20 blocks to Green St. Turn left on Green, and continue 5 1/2 blocks to the hotel. The Sherman House is located between Webster and Fillmore Streets, on the right-hand side (2160 Green St).
